Project choice
This project is local, personal, and non-invasive. I've attempted to reflect multiple narratives
but I could not reflect them all and I do have a viewpoint

Environmental impact
Most of the project was achieved on foot or by bike, no film was developed.  However, there is a large digital archive with an unknown carbon footprint.  The prints and canvas exhibition consume energy but are biodegradable & recycled.

People
Local people were engaged in the project, I visited and engaged with the power station.  Any people in the final images are unidentifiable.  Images of groups were originally taken for publicity and then used in a composite.
I could not, despite asking locally, identify the bereaved family to ask their opinion of "Lovers' Lane".

Power
If anything, I’m the one with no power versus the government, “capitalism” and the energy “giant” EDF and I am using the power of photography to enhance that power.  However, there are more views than mine.  I have the power of money and time to make these images whereas other equally legitimate photographers may not

Captions
These are mostly descriptive but “auspices” may be open to a a reading that links the death of the birds to the power station.  The gannets are, in fact, likely to have died from bird flu and the looming presence of the nuclear reactor under a black cloud  is unrelated.
Usage
This project formed my submission for the OCA "investigating place with psychogeography" course and the 15 image panel achieved an associate RPS distinction.  It was exhibited "in situ" at the beach July 22nd - September 22nd 2023 with good feedback but the final impact is yet to be determined.
